Banten Indonesia Charity Project 2017
What had begun as a global outreach programme to strengthen cultural understanding between Singapore and the source country that provided Singapore employers with domestic helpers, Nation embarked on its second Indonesian Charity Project in October 2017. This time, the visit was to Banten on the westernmost province on the island of Java, in Indonesia.

After a break of four years, the infamous cooking competition to promote and cultivate good relationship between employers and their domestic helpers through effective communication was back.
Jurong RC Sharing Programme
As the largest employment agency in Singapore, Nation is as committed to providing households with trained domestic helpers as in improving the welfare of Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs). In 2014, Nation was invited by the Jurong Residential Committee to facilitate an interactive dialogue session between residents and MDWs. Nation’s counsellors also shared their experiences and impart tips on how to improve relationship between residents and MDWs.
Helper Cookout 2013
This is the third year since the cooking competition to showcase the invaluable contributions of domestic helpers to Singapore households. A joint promotion between CATS Classified and Nation, the competition also provided them with a platform to shine.
Best Domestic Helper Awards
To promote positive employer-employee relationship, Nation launched an island-wide cooking competition to hunt for the best team. The inaugural event was jointly organised with CATS Classified. Contestants were judged on the use of healthy ingredients, cooking methods and visual appeal of the dishes.
