Cirebon Indonesia Charity Project

16 March 2016

Indonesia is the biggest source of migrant domestic workers to Singapore. But many facets of Indonesian culture and way of life are vastly different from Singapore. To strengthen our cultural understanding and foster good relations with our neighbouring countries, Nation embarked on a global outreach programme with a visit to one of the local community.

Nation management and staff volunteers, together with students from Bukit Batok Secondary School organised a charity project trip to Cirebon, a port city on the north coast of the Indonesian island of Java, on November 2016. There, they visited and interacted with the underprivileged families and the local school children. Living essentials such as rice, cooking oil, canned food and groceries were packed and distributed to them.
